From our family to your skin.
At Sassi Beauty Products, beauty is more than a business — it's our family legacy. Based in Prince George's County, Maryland, our journey began at the kitchen table, with our kids' love for creating bath bombs. That spark grew into a passion for handcrafting skincare that actually works: whipped body butters, handmade soaps, sugar scrubs, and body oils, made in small batches with care in every jar and every bar.
Our Heritage
The name Sassi is an ode to the Sassi Beauty Salon, which has served our community from the Hightower family for 30 years. What started in the salon lives on in our studio today — the same commitment to excellence, and the same belief that taking care of people is the whole point.
The Sassi Way
Sassi is how we live: Securing Assets by Serving, Saving, and Investing. Serving comes first — every product we make is an act of service to the people who trust us with their skin. Saving is the discipline that protects what we build. Investing is how we grow it — back into our products, our salon, our family, and our community. It's the philosophy behind every batch we pour and every market morning we show up for.
The Makers
Edward Hightower III — Co-Founder & Operations
Edward leads operations and handcrafts our whipped body butters and body oils. His standard is simple: if it carries the Sassi name, it has to be quality his own family would use — because they do.
Lucretia "Creci" Hightower — Co-Founder & Creative Director
Lucretia is the visionary behind our most beloved formulations and the lead artisan for our signature handmade soaps and sugar scrubs. A mother of five, she balances the art of creation with the mission of growth — every product that leaves our studio carries her care.
Alayah Hightower — Lead Engineer & Director of Outreach
A Howard University alumna with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Alayah is the technical force behind our quality. She makes sure "handmade" at Sassi also means balanced, effective, and held to the highest standard — and she leads our marketing and community outreach.
