Based in PG County, Maryland, our journey began at the kitchen table. It started with the kids’ love for creating bath bombs and quickly evolved into a passion for crafting high-quality, handmade skincare that actually works.

Our Heritage

The name Sassi is an ode to the Sassi Beauty Salon, which has been in the Hightower family for 30 years. Today, led by Edward Hightower, we carry that same commitment to excellence and community care into every jar of whipped body butter and every hand-poured soap we make.

As the Creative Director of Sassi Beauty Products, Lucretia Hightower is the visionary behind our most beloved formulations. A master of her craft, she is the lead artisan for our signature handmade soaps and sugar scrubs—products that have helped define the SBP standard of excellence.

For Lucretia, SBP is more than a business; it’s a family legacy being built right here in the heart of the DMV. As a mother of five, she balances the art of creation with the mission of growth, ensuring that every product leaving our studio is crafted with the care our community deserves. We aren’t just making skincare; we are working to become the premier name in beauty from Prince George’s County to Baltimore and beyond.

Alayah Hightower is the technical force behind the superior quality of Sassi Beauty Products. An alumna of Howard University with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Alayah applies her expertise to ensure that every formula we produce is balanced, effective, and held to the highest scientific standards. She ensures that "handmade" at SBP also means "precision-engineered."

Leading the Growth

Beyond the technical side, Alayah leads our marketing efforts and community outreach. She is dedicated to promoting the SBP mission to the masses, working to expand our footprint across the region. Her goal is to ensure that our family-owned brand isn't just a local name, but the premier skincare authority for the entire DMV.
